Do I need an International Driving Permit to hire a car in Lanzarote?

I'm hiring a car in Lanzarote in January next year - do I need an IDP or is my UK licence okay?

You can check the requirements regarding driving licences and IDPs on the government's website here: www.gov.uk/driving-abroad/international-driving-pe...t and the rules for Spain including the Baleric and Canary Isles are that an IDP is not required for periods up to six months.
