Does the Toyota C-HR have a petrol particulate filter?

I am a bit confused regards the fitting of particulate filters in petrol engines. I noted on your site the following. "Petrol particulate filters were first introduced in 2016 here in the UK. They have been standard fit to cars for a long time now and work in a similar way to DPFs (capturing particulate matter and burning it off)."

However, Toyota Head Office Customer Relations and the Aftersales Manager state: "Petrol engines do not have them."

We always do our best to ensure the information we give is as accurate as possible and while we wouldn't wish to comment on Toyota's response, a quick search online brought up several websites selling replacement petrol particulate filters for the Toyota C-HR petrol hybrid.
