If you have received a parking fine in a hospital car park this should be in the form of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) issued by the company that operates the car park on behalf of the NHS. Most hospital car parks in England are operated in this way.

The PCN should explain the reason for fine. Typically this is for not displaying a valid ticket or paying for parking using an app, or for outstaying the period of parking paid for. If this is not clear, you should appeal the fine and the PCN will give you instructions on how to do this. You can also ask for an explanation for why the fine was issued, if this is not clear.
