Hond life

We have a 2007 Honda CRV ES 2.2iCDTI that is coming up to 3 years old and we usually think of changing at this point. However we both enjoy the car and due to changed circumstances it has not yet reached 23,000 miles so we are contemplating keeping it longer. If we did would an extended warranty be a good idea, or is Honda reliability good enough? Also are there any other points we should be aware of?

The 2007 - 2009 CR-V diesel did not have a particulate filter. The 2010 CR-V diesel does. So better to keep the old car and not suffer Potential DPF problems than swap it for a new one. For the warranty, check out www.warrantydirect.co.uk which offers 5 levels of cover, but it must be taken out before the original Honda cover expires.
