Buying used 4x4 for a vet - what would you recommend?
My daughter needs advice about replacing her ancient and increasingly unreliable Freelander.
As an equine vet she drives about 30,000 miles a year on main roads, country lanes and rough farm tracks, often at night, and carries a lot of equipment. Her livelihood and personal safety require a reliable and tough vehicle. It can be petrol or diesel, preferably (but not essentially) automatic. Budget is £12-15k. What would you recommend?

A recent Suzuki Grand Vitara would be a good idea. A late model before they took the spare wheel off the back. They have selectable four wheel drive and high and low range in 4WD.
