AC Cars has revealed the AC Cobra GT Coupe, the firm's latest production car arriving to mark the 125th anniversary of the company's founding.
The Coupe shares around 75% of its engineering with the GT Roadster, announced in late 2022.
2028 AC Cobra GT Coupe price and release date

AC is aiming to go from a company which hand-builds around 100 cars a year to ramping up production to 1000 across all of its models. It's currently cracking on with building GT Roadster models, with the first Coupes set to be delivered in 2028.
Prices for the 5.0 V8-powered Coupe start at £234,300 plus taxes for the naturally aspirated model, while adding a supercharger will set you back at least £256,300 plus taxes and more, depending on just how bespoke you'd like your AC to be.

2028 AC Cobra GT Coupe styling, interior and technology

AC Cars has designed the car's carbon fibre bodywork in house, taking inspiration from the AC A98 coupe racing car. However, AC states that its new GT is no stripped out track special.
For a start, it's bigger than the original AC Cobra, with the new car measuring 4225mm long, 1980mm wide and a promise that those over six-feet tall can fit comfortable behind the wheel. Weight will be around 1600kg.
Aiming for sales to luxury-minded Asian and Middle Eastern car fans, the Coupe features hand-finished leatherwork and upholstery, climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system. Options to personalise the car abound.
2028 AC Cobra GT Coupe engines, performance and fuel economy

Power comes from a Ford-sourced 5.0 V8, with buyers getting the choice of 456PS naturally aspirated or 730PS supercharged engines plus either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Although it weighs slightly more than the GT Roadster, it's more aerodynamic, with AC expecting similar performance, including a 0-60mph time of under 3.5 seconds for the supercharged car. Full performance and fuel economy figures are yet to be released.
The Coupe uses an extruded aluminium chassis. AC states that the ride and handling are "tuned to be compliant yet responsive."
2028 AC Cobra GT Coupe trim levels

The Coupe is designed to be highly personalised to each buyer's requests. So while all models include useful equipment like electric windows, climate control and a touchscreen sat nav/infotainment system, AC states that there are upgrade options available.
Likewise, in addition to a range of standard exterior and interior colours, AC Cars has a bespoke service which allows customers to choose individual paint colours, and carbon fibre and leather finishes.
