The changes, which will be applied to UK cars from the summer, include upgraded LED daytime running lights compared to the existing model, featuring customisable animations that you can choose through the infotainment system. The rear lights are now OLED units, and you can specify an optional proximity lighting system that warns other road users when they get too close. Matrix LED headlights are available as an option.

Inside, the interior has been overhauled with a new design and a panoramic display comprising an 11.9-inch instrument display and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, with an optional 12-inch passenger display also available. There's an upgraded infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS, with ChatGPT integration for natural language interaction with the Audi assistant feature. An augmented-reality head-up display, which projects driving information onto the windscreen, is available as an option, as is a Sonos sound system.

Elsewhere inside, there are two cooled 15W wireless phone-charging trays and two USB-C charging ports under the centre armrest. You can also specificy two more USB ports in the back. Boot space is 520 litres or 1490 litres with the back seats folded down.

2026 Audi Q4 E-tron motors, batteries and performance

Two batteries are available across the Q4 E-tron range – 63kWh and 82kWh. Improvements in electric-motor efficiency means a longer range, which is tentatively 367 miles on a full charge of the larger 82kWh battery, although final UK specs are yet to be confirmed.

The maximum charging speed is up from 175kW to 185kW on the Quattro Performance models, which means a10% to 80% charge will take 27 minutes at a suitable DC charger. Quattro models also get an enhanced towing capacity, which is up from 1400kg to 1800kg.

The battery system now supports bidirectional charging, which means it can both receive energy from the grid and send it back to external devices. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality means you can charge external devices – e-bikes, small appliances and the like – through a power socket in the boot or through an adaptor on the charging port. The car can also support Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), whereby the car acts as a home battery for stored household energy, although it's not yet clear whether this function will be available on UK cars.

There are also various new safety systems available in the Q4 E-tron, depending on the spec and options. They inclulde parking assistance features, adaptive cruise control and an adaptive driving assistant that can keep the car in lane even when there are no visible lane markings.

2026 Audi Q4 E-tron trim levels

The revised Q4 E-tron will come in a choice of four trim levels – Sport, S line, Black Edition and Vorsprung – although the full details of each have not yet been released.

What would cause a sudden power loss in an Audi Q4 e-tron?

My daughter's Audi Q4 e-tron lost power suddenly on the M1 where there was no hard shoulder and an HGV immediately behind her. Thankfully she and her baby suffered no harm. Is this a known issue with this car? Is it likely to be a software problem?
We're sorry to hear that your daughter has had problems with her Audi Q4 e-tron. A sudden power loss like this can be a troubling experience and may have caused some loss of confidence in the car. We would suggest returning it to the supplying dealer as soon as possible for a full checkover and diagnostic analysis. If you're not satisfied with the response don't hesitate to escalate the issue with the dealer or Audi UK. The Q4 e-tron is still a relatively new car and there have been very few reports of problems. If the car restarted later on and operated normally it would suggest this is a software issue rather than hardware, as the latter would have likely disabled the vehicle permanently.
