Hyundai has revealed the full UK specs and pricing for the new Ioniq 6 N. Based on the standard Hyundai Ioniq 6, the N model upgrades basically everything to create a very powerful, very fast electric sports car.
How fast? With 650PS from dual motors, it'll hit 62mph from standstill in just 3.2 seconds (when using launch control) and top out at 160mph
But there's more to the Ioniq 6 N than just power. Like its forebear, the Ioniq 5 N, it's set up for driver involvement with multiple engineering upgrades over the standard Ioniq 6. There's a re-engineered chassis with electronically controlled suspension, a lower centre of gravity and an electric limited-slip differential to improve traction. The chassis is stiffer, the steering more precise and the level of engagement much higher, thanks in part to the "N e-Shift" system that mimics the gear shifts of a petrol car for extra immersion.
The new Ioniq 6 N is easy to spot, too, thanks to its now-signature N treatment – big alloy wheels clad in grippy Pirelli tyres, orange brake callipers, and gloss black details, together with a large rear wing and gloss black elements low down on the car. There's a similarly sporty treatment inside.
With a starting price of just over £65,000, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N undercuts the petrol-powered BMW M3 by some £25,000, and should be considerably cheaper to run, too. Other rivals include the electric BMW i4 M50, which is less performance focused, the Tesla Model 3 Performance which isn't set up so much for driver engagement, and of course the Ioniq 5 N, which is closest to its stablemate in ethos.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N styling, interior and technology

Visually, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is a standard facelifted Ioniq 6 with added beef. It's 60mm wider than the standard car and squats on lowered, stiffened and electronically dampered suspension with big 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 5 tyres as standard. The bodywork is sportier, with gloss black finishes around the lower half of the car and a red line that runs all the way around. A big rear wing sits on the boot lid and the bumpers are more aggressive as befits the car's character.
Inside, there are bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara synthetic suede and leather. A knee pad has been added for extra stability during high-speed cornering. amd there's a bespoke steerting wheel with dedicated buttons for quick mode selection. The latest Hyundai CCnC infotainment system, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, is included as standard. There's also a head-up display with an augmented reality function, and a Bose sound system and a three USB-C charging ports, as well a wireless phone charger and a mount in the headlining for a camera. There's a 371-litre boot.
The N e-Shift system seen on the Ioniq 5 N returns, with shorter gear ratios and an N Active Sound + system that adds audio to the driving experiece. Various drive settings are customisable by the driver to best set up for different scenarios. There's an N-Drift Optimiser if you want to get slidey on the race track, and the infotainment system is set up with racetrack maps pre-loaded, and the ability to add your own if it's missing.
2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N engines, performance and fuel economy

The Ioniq 6 N uses the same running gear as the Ioniq 5 N, which means two electric motors. However, the rear motor is the primary drive unit, which Hyundai says makes for added traction and, we expect, more driving fun. The system develops 650PS and 770Nm of torque, which means when you use the N Launch Control feature it'll go from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds.
The battery is an 84kWh unit that delivers a claimed range of up to 302 miles at 3.3 miles/kWh. Hyundai sais that charging from 10% to 100% will take just under 12 hours with a 7kW home wallbox, and 18 minutes to 80% at a 350kW rapid charger.
