Skoda adds top-spec L&K trim to the Kodiaq range

Skoda has launched a new top-spec L&K trim for its Skoda Kodiaq SUV. Availanble to order from mid-December, the Skoda Kodiaq L&K comes with a choice of three engines and is loaded with standard features above and beyong the SE L model, which is currently the swankiest Skoda Kodiaq you can order.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K can be powered by a five-seat-old plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with an electric range of up to 71 miles. Alternatively, there's a 2.0-litre petrol engine with four-wheel drive or a 2.0-litre diesel, also with four-wheel drive. Both the non-PHEV models come with seven seats as standard.
Standard features include an upgraded interior design, known as Suite Cognac, with electric memory seats up front, replete with massage and ventilation plus heated rear seats. Big 20-inch alloy wheels and a Canton sound system add to the luxuriousness.

Order books for the new Skoda Kodiaq L&K open on 17 December. Prices start at £48,985 for the PHEV, badged as the 1.5 TSI iV and go up to £51,460 for the 2.0 TSI petrol model. The 2.0 TDI diesel costs from £53,230.

The Skoda Kodiaq L&K rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and comes with metallic paint as standard, as well as running boards and L&K badging on the outside.
Inside, the seats are finished in leather and are electrically adjustable and ventilated at the front. Those in the back also get heated seats. A head-up display is standard, as it an upgraded Canton sound system. There are also L&K-exclusive floor mats, aluminium pedals and a heated windscreen.

You can choose from three engines in the new Skoda Kodiaq L&K. The entry-level model is the five-seat plug-in hybrid, known as the 1.5 TSI iV. It features a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor with a battery that gives you a combined 204PS and up to 71 miles of electric-only driving.
Next up is the seven-seat 2.0 TSI petrol model, with 204PS and four-wheel drive, and there's also a diesel-powered 2.0 TDI with 193PS.
All models use an automatic seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission.
What does L&K mean?
L&K stands for Laurin & Klement, which has long been the name of the top-spec trim in a number of Skoda models. It's named after Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, who started the company that would become Skoda, in 1895.
