Tiny Honda Super-N EV is heading to the UK in 2026

This is the very-close-to-production prototype of the new Honda Super-N, a tiny electric car that's heading to the UK in 2026.

Based on the Super-N Concept shown off at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Super-N Prototype was revealed at the Japan Mobility Show, and Honda confirmed that it'll reach our shores next year. Only a few details have been revealed so far – we'll have to wait until closer to launch for powertrain specs, prices and so on – but we'd hope for and expect a higher battery range than the Super-N's spiritual predecessor, the Honda E.

Honda says the Super-N will be sporty and fun to drive, which is reflected in the car's design. Check back soon, as we'll update this article when more details are announced.

2026 Honda Super-N price and release date

All we know for sure is that the Honda Super-N is coming to the UK at some point in 2026. No prices have been announced, but we'd expect it to aim for cars like the Hyundai Inster and Renault 5, which would suggest a starting price of less than £30,000.

2026 Honda Super-N styling, interior and technology

The Super-N is based on the Honda N-One e, an electric kei car (a particular Japanese category of small car) sold only in Japan. But the Super-N has numerous changes to set it apart and appeal to other markets, including the UK. It's wider, with bigger wheels and chunky arches, and has a more sporty design.

The prototype shots show a charging point in the front grille plate and a boot lid that extends far down intpo the rear bumper, which should add to its practicality.

Inside, Honda promises lots of space for its size, with a retro-inspired look to the upholstery covering the chunky sports seats. The dashboard is taken straight from the N-One e and features a relatively small infotainment screen by today's standard, with lots of physical switches and a drive selector protruding from the dash.

2026 Honda Super-N battery, range and performance

No powertrain or performance details have been announced yet, although Honda has said that the Super-N will have a Boost mode, which ups the power output for extra oomph, and also simulates gear shifts with what the company calls Active Sound Control to jazz up the experience.
