2025 Dacia Duster styling, interior and technology

Take a Dacia Duster. Cut the back off it, make the final metre into a load bed and add a tailgate. There’s your pick-up, all approved as an N1 goods vehicle and with two back seats left over. Seven colours are available – Sandstone, Lichen Kaki, Terracota Brown [sic], Glacier White, Schiste Grey, Pearl Black, and Cedar Green.

Inside, it’s pretty much the same as a regular Duster, although the middle rear seat has been replaced with a central armrest. Standard tech, depending on trim, includes a full complement of airbags, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot warning and a multi-view camera.

The Duster Pick-up comes with a choice of two powertrains – the Hybrid 140, with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors or the Mild-Hybrid 130 4x4, which uses a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine and drives all four wheels. Dacia hasn’t released any official performance figures.

How big is the new Dacia Duster Pick-Up?

The Dacia Duster Pick-Up is the same size as the standard car – it measures 4345mm in length, 1813mm in width and is 1656mm tall. The 4x4 model has a ground clearance of 224mm, and the 1050mm by 1000mm load bed can handle a payload of up to 430kg.

Why isn’t the Duster Pick-Up coming to the UK?

Well, it isn’t going anywhere other than Romania – at least, not at the moment. However, if there's enough demand, that could well change.

Should I buy a Dacia Bigster?

I’ve put a pre deposit down on a new Dacia bigster 155 hybrid journey which comes to 30k I am lucky enough to get discount on new cars being ex forces and some give very good discounts but I’m really stuck with what car to get do I stick with Dacia bigster I’ve got a 30k limit and currently have a ford ranger I want something that’s high seating position automatic and as big a boot as possible for golf clubs and economical What car would you recommend as not sure about depreciation value of Dacia compared to other cars?
The Bigster has all the features you want - a high driving position and plenty of interior space, and is also excellent value for money even before you add in any discounts. Although it may not hold its value as well as some alternatives this is somewhat offset by the lower purchase price in the first place. You could look at alternatives such as the Kia Sportage, Volvo XC40 and Hyundai Tucson, but they will be more expensive to buy, so it is worth looking at the deals available to you before making a decision.
