Audi launches A8 Edition 21, limited to 121 cars

Audi has introduced a limited edition A8 to celebrate 21 years since the original model was introduced. The Edition 21 gets Sports styling and a lavishly appointed cabin with 22 way adjustable front seats and leather upholstery from the Audi exclusive selection, plus the BOSE audio.

Priced from £72,525 in short wheelbase form and £76,490 in long wheelbase form, the A8 Edition 21 is expected to arrive with customers from November 2015.

Besides sports styling similar to that seen on the S8, the exterior benefits from Audi’s matrix-beam LED headlights and 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, along with rear privacy glass. Inside there are Edition 21 badges, plus a choice of cognac brown or black leather upholstery.

Hard-drive based navigation is fitted as standard, along with a BOSE surround sound audio, Audi Connect web services, a reversing camera, power closing doors and an power boot lid.

Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre V6 TDI diesel with 262PS and 580Nm of torque. This is linked to quattro all-wheel drive via an eight-speed automatic transmission and gives acceleration of 5.9 seconds in the short wheelbase model. Emissions are 155g/km and economy is 47.9mpg for the short wheelbase model or 159g/km and 47.1mpg for the long wheelbase model.
