Vauxhall adds BiTurbo engine to Zafira Tourer range

Vauxhall has added its 195PS BiTurbo diesel engine to the Zafira Sports Tourer line-up. The powerful engine means a 0-60mph sprint of 8.5 seconds despite the vehicles hefty weight. Despite offering potent performance for an MPV, fuel economy is quoted at 50.4mpg on the combined cycle. It goes on sale in Spring, priced from £27,685.

We have already tested the BiTurbo engine in the Astra and provides surging performance from low revs, care of generous torque and two turbochargers. The Zafira Sports Tourer BiTurbo follows a tradition of high performance people carriers like the old 240PS Zafira VXR.

SE, SRi and Elite trim levels are available with the BiTurbo engine, and options include adaptive chassis control, adaptive forward lighting and a panoramic windscreen. Flex7 seating is standard fit and offers plenty of options for families and their luggage.
