Freelander limted edition is Black & White

Land Rover has extended its Freelander 2 range with a new Black & White limited edition. It's based on the S model, and its maker promises even more personalisation options for a starting price of £22,495.

The Black & White Freelander is identified by its new front grille, side vents and door handles, all of which are now finished in gloss black. Paint choices are Santorini Black metallic or solid Fuji White, with a metallic shade offered at no additional cost. Privacy glass is also fitted as standard and the headlamp units include daytime running lights with a signature arrangement of LEDs.

Standard features from the S model include push button start, electric windows front and rear, air conditioning, 60:40 folding rear seats, front rear auxiliary power sockets, eight-speaker audio system with DAB digital radio, heated electrically adjustable door mirrors and a full complement of seven airbags.

The Black & White limited edition is offered with either the 150PS (148bhp) 2.2-litre turbodiesel unit in eD4 form with two-wheel drive, or the same TD4 with all-wheel drive. Fuel consumption is 47.1mpg combined and emissions output is 158g/km. Prices start at £22,495 for the eD4 model, and rise to £23,495 for the manual and £24,995 for the automatic Black & White TD4. The new models are on sale now.
