can anyone tell me the location of the glow plug relay. autodata shows me its next in line for the fault im looking for but wont show me where it is on component locations.

So we have gone from a s/hand engine ecu to a glow plug timer.What is the problem?Somebody here may be able to assist.hth

ok here goes.

i replaced relay in coolig fan which turned out to be wrong relay.(ment to be green it had black one in so i replaced it with a black one) as soon as i did the engine stalled and now wont start.

my fuel lift pump wont come on with ignition but will if i bridge relay.

i plugged computer in and it reads a fault with glow plugs cant remember exact code, so i got the wiring diagram and the glow plug relay is also somewhere down the line connected to fuel pressure sensor, its just a hunch im out of ideas.

Fitting the wrong relay may have caused a short circuit.Have you checked fuses in both the cabin and engine bay fuse boxes?

i have checked every fuse i can find cabin and engine bay, i keep getting error code p0380 glow plug/heater circuit (A) i can delete it and its straight back again

Glow plug heater circuit is not going to stop the engine running.More in depth investigation reqd.hth

Rather than looking at fault codes,can you read any live data from your plug-in computor.System voltage,fuel rail pressure etc,would be helpfull to go any further.hth

just had computer plugged in and no fuel pressure at all, system voltage 12.3v.

error code p00cc and p00c8 has now came up, fuel pressure regulator solenoid open circuit and
fuel quantity adjustment circuit low.
how can this be possible by me blowing the fan circuit ???

Is the in tank lift pump (low pressure) working?

It does if I bridge the pump relay from under bonnet but it dont work when I turn ignition on

Can you check the wiring between terminal 7 on the 15 terminal which travels through inerta switch on to ecu pin no 87 switched earth to activate this relay. Also check that your getting a 12v permanent feed at terminals 3-8-11-15 key on or off Hth Regards Mickeybo
