Ford Mondeo 2lt duratec - map and barometer sensor - johnniebing

mk3 mondeo petrol

no readings on map and baromater

help is needed as its doing my head in as i cant find the problem

no dtc codes , no engine light on

please help

You haven´t really said what your problem is except you cannot get any readings on I assume a MAF what are you measuring and what with and what is the problem.,

its a t-map sensor

ive plugged in a formidable scan tool

i select pcm and then live data no readings just 0

think on tick over map should read 150

and barometer should read the air pressure which is about 1050 but shows 0

What's the "formidable" scan tool? I thought all Mondeo were MAF not MAP.

well according to the manual and internet its a t-map sensor

You havn't said if there is a problem with how the car is performing.

Do you get a reading for inlet air temp which usually comes from the same sensor. Have you tried disconnecting the sensor & seeing if it brings up the engine light.

A T-MAP is a form of MAF-it measures airflow like a MAF.A MAP sensor is something else-much earlier technology.

yeah do get a reading on inlet air temp , i unplugged sensor tonight and the engine did run crap , so it must mean that its working , but why no reading on map sensor and barometer i do not know
