any - Smallish car for under 4k? - chanlfc

I am looking for areliable small/econmy car for upto 4K.

I'm thinking of a mazda 3 on the 07 plate with under 50K on the clock (petrol)

Does this sound like a good choice, or are there any good alternatives? Honda civics seem to be on the 05 plate oldershape for the same money

II am also thinking of getting it from cargiant?, has anyone used them before? do they have trust worthy cars?, they come with a 60 day warranty.

Honda Civics of the model your refer to are high value for good reason, simply excellent cars the best of which imo is the 2.0S type of which my daughter has one now on 140k and totaly reliable.

Toyota Corolla another equally fine car.

Service history and previous ownership are more important than where the car comes from, more likely to be looked after by a well reputed local indy dealer IMO.
