Any - Get AA Breakdown for £12/year only - heshamtecom

I just found it a way for getting really really cheap AA Breakdown cover. In AA website, the quoto is £32/year, however, if you buy the policy using a cashback website you will get £20 back, so it works out 12/year only

The steps:

1- Go to http://bit.ly/VYtf7k and sign up for free.

2- On the search field, search for The AA.

3- Click the AA link on the website and it will redirect you to TheAA website.

4- Pay for the policy and within minutes check your account and you'll find your £20 cashback which you can redeem by transfering them to you bank account or Paypal if you prefer.

All the best

Or have an account with Lloyds and get the same for nothing.

(a) Your bank details are required by Quidco - this makes me feel slightly uncomfortable.

(b) "...within minutes check your account and you'll find your £20 cashback..."

On Quidco there's a lot of negative feedback about some people waiting for over five months for their cashback on AA deals.

You can join the RAC online for £32 and get a Marks & Spencer Evoucher for £20.

Or use your Tesco Clubcard Reward vouchers for RAC membership....seems like a good deal on their 3 for 1 or whatever they call it.

I don't think the evoucher deal is available on the basic level of cover.

"I don't think the evoucher deal is available on the basic level of cover."

If you're referring to the RAC deal, then - sorry to disagree - it IS available on the basic cover. I did it yesterday.

The only caveat is that if you pull out within the 14 days' cooling-off period, you forfeit the right to the voucher, which will be sent (they say) within 30 days after that period has elapsed.

To be totally pedantic, the deal is roadside cover for £31.99, which includes an "web discount", plus M & S voucher worth £20. Cost of cover: £11.99.

I stand corrected. I got an email over the weekend and only had a very quick look as my similar deal with the AA ends in April. I thought (wrongly) it said the evouchers were only available on the next level up from basic. Hopefully the deal will still be around when I need it.

To be honest, at £31.99, I wouldn't bother. I resent paying for those motorists who can't change a wheel or replace a battery when it's known to be on the way out.

"I resent paying for those motorists who can't change a wheel or replace a battery when it's known to be on the way out."

In many ways I agree. However, what spurred me on (and I have never before had breakdown cover in this country) was the memory of the occasion last year when, on the way to visit family, the car developed alternator problems on the M1; needless to say, this was during Friday evening rush-hour and heavy rain. As it happened, I managed to limp to a Kwik-Fit. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't made it before the battery gave up.

Though the vast majority of my driving is fairly short distances locally, several times a year I go from Hertfordshire to Cornwall, Leeds and Newcastle-upon-Tyne and that's what prompted me.

You only have to provide your bank details if you want the cashback to be transferred to your account, and that's what I do, it is very secure and convenient. Alternativly, you can provide you Paypal account.

I can assure you that Quidco is very reliable and genuine service, please check my earning over the last few months.

I was suspicious about this guy's first post - now this one looks even more like spam.

Having done a bit of checking the last place I would put any money is in the hands of this gentleman.

Yes, I agree, I never bother with cashback sites. On the note of people having to call out the breakdown service because they can't change a wheel, it might be because they aren't physically capable and in that respect they have every right to call the breakdown service out. You pay your fee and it's up to you what you use them for, however shameful some people think it is.

Despite working for an insurance company, I don't buy much of it. I don't buy insurance for white goods, boiler maintenance, water leaks, keys, pet or much else. House, car, and health is about it.

"You pay your fee and it's up to you what you use them for". Fine. But not with my money.

Add no breakdown cover to your list then.

I wouldn't bother in any case, the AA was taken over by some kind of sub-bank some time ago.

The brand is worthless.

"The brand is worthless."

You know, I couldn't care less about brands, or which company is running which other company. I'd be more interested in whether the AA offers value for money.
