Rear light in Ford Focus - bluenun

Hello,

I have a 1.6 2003 Ford Focus and the rear light is not working, the brake light does work.

I took the bulb out and took it to a car spares shop, they tested the bulb and both filaments work.

I checked inside the bulb housing and it is completely dry, I made sure the connections on the buld and where it connects to are clean, dry and corrosion free.

I thought it could be a fuse but looking in the Haynes manual there does not appear to be a fuse for the rear light.

There are 2 fuse boxes, 1 behind the glove compartment and 1 under the bonnet.

Any suggestions?

You need a meter to test the circuit are you getting 12v at the bulb holder or on the wire feeding it.

I do not have a meter so I do not know the answer to that.

Fuse 54 is the brake lights fuse for a Mk1 Focus.

How on earth can you test anything properly electrical without a meter.
