V.W. D.S.G. problems - marty342

It has been reported on American forum websites that V.W. drivers are having their D.S.G, clutch discs replaced under warranty because of warping discs.

could this be what is causing all the problems with the V.W. D.S.G. gearboxes ?

This has been causing vibrations in the D.S.G. boxes and if the discs are not replaced destruction of the gearbox follows !!!

Interesting. I wonder if this is confined to the dry-clutch DSGs, which are the ones giving all the trouble in the UK.
