Anyone know what year vauxhall motors changed to waterbased paints ?

I do not have an exact date, but my company supplied them with water treatment plant for their paint lines in the late 1980's. I think that there was a wholesale switch from solvents in that decade for environmental and health reasons.

I'd be astonished if there is one. I expect that GM migrated their various plants over time.

Never buy a red one, they fade as if they're dissolving in the rain.

Now they were cellulose based, an old tech 10 or 15 years ago, banned for the long term death it inflicts on the sprayers.

I think the last red ones came from Poland.
