(Note to comparative newcomers - Hugo used to be a regular on here and indeed was one of my predecessors as a moderator.)

That was a long time ago!!!

Good to see the site so busy and doing well.

I am currently a moderator for a relitively new Land Rover forum.

Current vehicles include a Discovery D2 TD5, Ford Ka, Nissan Almera and the Nissan Primastar.

My youngest recently passed her test and is driving the Ka until we sell it probably in March. We bought it to try to get both girls throught their tests - we were 50% successful!

Thinking particularly of a few old members on here HF, Pologirl, Adam(ski)

Really Hugo, they weren't that old, don't know what's happened to them.

That Ka could soon become a classic. I understand Ford won't be replacing it with another generation Ka, not making cash.

50% is half way there, the glass is half full, are they going to try again soon ?

HF appears occasionally and I've sopken to her on the phone - very nice lady.

Coincidentally both she and Pologirl are both called Sarah. Pologirl and Adam haven't been seen for several years: Adam left us because he didn't like the way in which Pologirl moderated his posts.

Really hopting to hear from HF again. IIRC she was often posting late at night. Next time you speak to her on the phone tell her I was asking after her will you please?

Some of you will remember far enough back to when The Growler was still around. He was such an excellent chap RIP. I remember reading that he had passed away :-(

Does HJ grace the forum with his presence these days?

HJ is busy running a fairly extensive business providng help and advice to motorists (as you can see from the headings at the top of the screen), but he looks in on the forum and posts from time to time. letters@honestjohn.co.uk is the place to reach him if you want to.
