Nissan micra 2003 - No Acceleration in Nissan - Saleen
Can anyone help. Started car perfectly today, won't accelerate over 80mph and looses poor on hills. No warning of this and still turning on and off perfectly.
No engine management light has come on.!

I'm guessing you mean it loses power on hills?

All sounds about right for a Micra to me!

No power in acceleration when I'm driving on the straight. It was going fine before this, but when I go up hills the power drops to almost 20mph..
Turning on and off perfectly and engine sounds like its running smoothly!

Change to a lower gear ? Failing that the clutch is possibly slipping .

When I change to lower gear revs go high but no power at all. End up down to second gear and no power, but revs high.

Check your air filter-it may be very dirty and need changing.

This is an easy DIY job.

Just got call from garage. Saying it might be head gasket
Or else valve going into head gasket. Has
Hooked it. Up to a pressure monitor for wkd so I won't know until mon. Any idea replacement price of head gasket?
