Honda civic 2006 2.2 diesel - Cooling fan on all time - AJL

Fans seem to be on all time. First noticed after journey which I thought was ok even though never happened before but came on when I started car today in cold and stayed on.

Is your coolant temp gauge working correctly? If so I would suspect a temperature sensor in the fan control circuit.

A/C switched on? This triggers the fans on some regardless of ambient temperature.

Definitely sounds like A/C on-remember A/C will come on if heating system left switched to auto. Press "OFF" button on heating control just under heat selector and make sure A/C delected by using A/C button to toggle A/C on/off.

With a cold engine you should now have no fans.
