Any - Buying a reasonably priced medium sized car. - dpokane

Hi,

I have been researching through this website, trying to find a car that would best suit my needs but I now have information overload.

I know that if I bought a brand new car it would suit my motoring needs better but my occupation does not allow me to financially get these benefits as I move from around countries every 2 years and having to sell the car.

I am looking for reasonably priced 2008-2009 medium sized car that has a good mpg and reliable. My job requires me to drive a lot of miles every single week.

Any adivce would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Damien

Skoda Fabia. Reasonable diesels, reliability is well documented, mpg is good.

I bet loads of suggestions will appear!

A bit more info on your budget and actual mileage would help a bit.

Even if you're doing high mileage I'd avoid a 3 or 4 year old diesel and look at a fuel efficient petrol car. Car Giant have 10 x 2009 Toyota Avensis 1.8 petrols (highly regarded and very economical for a petrol) between £6800 and £9000.

Go to a car supermarket such as CarGiant and buy a three year old KIA Cee'd, a fairly roomy, totally reliable car, it'll cost you about six grand and it will still have 4-5 years of the manufacturer's warranty left. www.cargiant.co.uk/KIA/results-KIA.asp
