Ive just got a second hand Ignition Assembly, I know it works fine, I turn key to !st & 2nd points & everything seems fine, on the final turn everything dies & car wont start.
If the starter motor doesn't work, it could be a flat battery, bad connection on the motor, the motor could be at fault or the ignition switch is duff.

Just to clarify, when I install switch the radio & heaters will come on but the battery, oil etc. lights don't & on starting turn everything goes off, I changed switch as other one was wore & not working, the switch is working for sure, the car is working fine as I'm driving it by connecting it by wire. It seems to me that the wires might have to be changed my car is 99 the switch came out of a 02, but to make sure it wasn't the switch I tested brand new switch & it's the exact same thing, I'm lost as to what it might be other that a wire change on plug going it to switch?
