Golf 1.6 SE petrol - Wont start when hot or after short journey - hajtool

I have recently had the car serviced and a new timing belt fitted.

Aftter a short journey or when hot car refused to start. It will fire/turn over but will not pick up. An orange light was showing which suggested a coolant sensor was causing the problem but the garage have told me it has been tedted but not replaces. Would appreciate some advice, thanks

coolant sensors very prone to failing but often just default to a generic setting as a way of getting you home !

So if the garage read live data for coolant sensor it may appear tpo give a reading.

Could be many things but money on coolant sensor first, especially as its flagged a fault, or wiring issue.
