Skoda Octavia 2004 PD130 eng code:ASZ - Turbo issue - baffled1

Can anyone help please before I set fire to this thing?

I have fault code 17965-035 KWP1281 charge pressure control Positive Deviation P1557 static - no

Car drives fine for some time before going into limp mode and triggering the yellow engine check light. This nearly always occurs at the foot of a hill when pressing the throttle for more oomph.

I have had the turbo stripped and cleaned and (separately) later had an aerosol spray applied by a very able specialist. I have an Innotec kit on the shelf but suspect by now the turbo is clean enough?

Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

You need to check out the vacuum/solenoid set-up you have probably sprung a leak on one of the pipes or a solenoid has failed.

Doe the engine shudder when you turn it off? The vacuum system "T"s off the brake master cylinder pipe crosses the bulkhead to the NS for the feed to the EGR solenoid then back over to feed the Turbo VV solenoid & turn off anti shudder solenoid.

If your engine shudders on turn off (anti shudder actuation lever usually visible from the top - should operate on engine turn off) then you probably have a general vacuum leak. The flexible pipes are prone to rot/vibration damage and the rigid pipes are prone to rub through/vibration damage.

The N75 Turbo VV solenoid is also know to fail.

Fault code 17965

normally relates to sticking variable vanes. Has it been stripped and cleaned properly and do you know whether the mechanism all functions correctly ? It amy be clean but could still be sticking ? have the pressure sensor values been checked ?
