Peugeot 308SW - Boot lock problem - cathnl

In cold weather (under 8c so not necessarily freezing) the boot of our Peugeot 308SW unlocks and opens when the driver or passenger doors are opened. This happens both when the remote is used and when the doors are opened manually. It is extremely irritating! We have had the problem since we bought the car new in Jan 2009, but no Peugeot garage has yet been able to fix the problem. Can anyone suggest a solution? Many thanks.

You need a competent auto electrician to break and remake all the electrical connectuions and earths for the central locking system . It's almost certainly a wiring fault where a connection no longer makes when the length shrinks in cold weather.

Any Peugeot dealers will presumably know that but could not give a fig about customer service.
