Hi

I like many people am having problems trying to sort out what is wrong with the clutch on my Citreon Synergie 2.0 TD. It is an hydraulic sysyem and I have changed the clutch, the fly wheel and this week, the slave cylinder. After each job the clutch seems fine for a couple of miles and then starts to vibrate and then the clutch pedal drops to the floor and sticks there.. .. I have now oredered a new master cylinder to try this, as I am running out of ideas.. Can you please help...

sorry i cant help.

They are good cars for the money, just a nightmare to work on the engine as the bay is tucked half way under the bottom of the windscreen.

Why not write to car mechanic magazine for help, they are very good.

Have you changed the fluid ? Sometimes it's the same fluid as the braking system but there could be a special reservoir for the hydrolic clutch.

Thank you for replying, Fluid has been changed and still no joy. Today a new master cylinder was put on and within 10 minutes the clutch pedal has gone hard again ... I am in despair now,,, as I have changed everything except the gear box.. It just dont make sense......

hello, I assume your car is a HDI .I've checked on a french forum and some guys have reported the same pb as yours. . In one instance the master/slave cylinder was the culprit but you have changed it. In an other exemple the pedal was at fault because it had become loose around the axis on a 806 HDI and a change of the pedal solved the problem
