Peugeot Partner 600LX HDI - Engine Management Light coming on at 3000 revs - GemmaCauson

Hi. This problem started yesterday. My Peugeout's Engine Management Light came on on 3000 revs and then the van went into 'Limp home' mode where it's been ever since. I did take it to the garage so that they could diagnose the fault but my trusty little van wouldn't talk to their fault machine so now I'm at a loss as to where to start or what the problem could be. The van wouldn't start at all last night when I tried it but this morning it starts fine and the Engine Management light stays out until you hit 3000 revs then it limps home again. Can anybody help me please? Thanks Gemma.

Peugeot need a "Planet" to talk to the ECU only available at main agents and a very garages tha have invested in the program.Judging by the symptoms you have described I would firstly look at the EGR valve perhaps it only needs a good clean out.
