We collected the car on 26th Sept from a dealer and drove back 45 miles with no issues and it going like a Boeing when you floored it.

On the Thursday out for a spin and initially no issues with kick down. Went through a 40mph zone and then went to overtake. Depressed pedal. but no kick down and had to quickly pull back in. On stopping and starting again, no problem.

Same thing happened again on Friday and no kick down when you need it, but changing gears up and down, but no kick down. Stopping and starting issue gone like previous day.

The following Monday no kick down from the time I started the vehicle and stopped it. On returning still no kick down. Have now contacted non franchise dealer, but do not hold out much hope as they had never had the problem before.

The Jeep has been at a jeep franchise dealer for a week and they are unable to locate the fault as it is intermittent and not showing any fault code. We are getting to the stage where the best option may be to reject the vehicle and source another, however this one is on finance so not sure what to do.

Maybe we should have stuck with our 1996 Toyota HiLux Surf 3.0 auto?
