The Colt has FMSH. It has 72K and due a service at 75K
1 week ago wife drives to work (as usual), engine mgt light comes on, she pulls overs and calls me, I tell her to come home and take my car to work.
I take the Colt to local garage (Mitsubishi garage 30 miles away & didn't know how serious problem was) who plugged in diagnostic computer and they confirm intermittant misfire on cylinder 2.
They replace coil pack with OE one.
2 days later - same thing happens, same place too, just 2 miles into journey up steepish bank but car is fully up to temperature on both occassions.
Wife comes home and swaps cars again
This time garage change all 3 spark plugs with new OE NGK. Couple days later, engine mgt light comes on again, only this time, it is in cylinder 1 !
I am stuck, how does a misfire jump from cylinder 2 to cylinder 1 even after new coil pack fitted to cylinder 2 and 3 new plugs are fitted?
Any ideas please
