Nissan Terrano II 2004 model - starter motor repair - geoffbob

I have a problem starting my car occasionally and now think this could be the solenoid which is inbuilt to the starter motor. Is it easy to repair or better to replace...

If its intermittently not turning over its probably the starter/solonoid that's at fault. You can test it by by connecting a wire from the battery+ to the small terminal on the solonoid, if it still doesn't work you will need a replacement. I don't know if you can get the solonoid seperately but starters are not overly expensive on ebay.
