Maybe they have finally realised that people wanting a reliable automatic gearbox are not buying this type of gearbox beacuse of the problems with them and the associated DMF. Having recently been in the market for a family sized automatic car and was particulary interested in the CC I dissmissed all the VAG models together with Ford and Volvo as they only offer this type of box. It will be interesting to see if they and other maunufacturers follow suit with other models.
