Toyota Avensis - Engine stall

Toyota Avensis - Engine stall - tizzi4547

I have a Toyota Avensis on a 55 plate, 2.0 litre auto. Occasionally on pulling up the car will stall. In my youth I would have lifted the bonnet and adjusted the idle but now \i have no idea how to adjust the idle speed.. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Controlled from ecu these days, no facility for the d.i yer to adjust it.

Many thanks but does this mean I need a new ECU and if so how much?

No, I think it means you may have an intermittent fault with a sensor, which when fixed, would cure your stalling problem.

I don't think an expensive ecu change would be on the cards.

Someone with more knowledge than me may have other suggestions.
