Volkswagen Golf IV - VW Golf 1.9 TDi Match Cam belt change? - rp123

I have a 2008 1.9 TDi Match, which has done 60,000 miles. When do you think an appropriate time is to change the cam belt?

If you think I should change it, what price is sensible?

You need to check the recommended mileage and age of when to change the belt. WHy not look in the handbook for a start, or maybe call the VW dealer?

Price- again start by calling the VW dealer, for cost of new belt and normal ancillaries, and cost for fitting, then get some other quotes.

or are you doing it yourself?

4years or 60,000 - i.e. about now!

Get the water pump/antifreeze change at the same time. The water pump uses same belt and easy to change at the same time.
