BP Olympic Medalions - S40 Man

Has anyone got an opinion on the BP Olymoic medalions? On the poster in the forecourt they all looked a bit cheesy and in real life at the cash desk looked deciedely tinny to me.

Do offers like this influence your choice of supplier?

Would 1-2 or 3p a litre off be a better incentive?

They are advertising like mad on comercial radio right now. I can't decide if that's desparation or they are onto a winner with these medalions. What do you think.

"Would 1-2 or 3p a litre off be a better incentive?"

I should think 99 % of people would say Yes to that pertinent question!

I doubt the medallions are worth more than a fraction of a penny off a litre. Nothing new in marketing though. Sure I threw mine out long ago but Esso had similar coins for the English world cup team at Mexico 70!!

I don't think the medallions are aimed at the driver, rather the kids sitting in the back. Morrisons are offering 12p off a litre when you spend £60 in store - that appeals to me, but their recent Disney sticker promotion was aimed at the kids of shoppers. Pester power.
