Nissan Almera Tino - Nissan Almera Tino - Steering wheel shake - collers23

Hi

I've just bought a Almera Tino on an 03 plate, 55k. I've noticed the steering shakes at low speeds, from about 10 mph up to 50 mph. Its had new tyres, balancing has been checked etc. It seems to be slightly worse when car is cold.

Cruising along at 60-70mph, the steering feels fine, start slowing down and the steering starts to shake. I dipped the clutch, but that doesn't make a difference.

Can anyone help, as it is quite annoying.

Around 95% of all vibration problems are tyre/wheel related, have you changed all the tyres or just the fronts? The problem may not be caused by imbalance but due to a deformed tyre. Try swapping the front and back wheels over and see what effect that has.
