How long does you NCD stay with you if you no longer have a need for insurance, we've gone from 2 cars to 1 car and I'd like to keep my NCD until I get a new one.

Like a lot of these questions 'it depends'. Ask your insurance company, 2 years is usual, but 4 isn't unknown.

Normally 2 years. Some companies will take it upto 3 years old.

When I was in that situation the missus and I would alternate whoever insured the car.
