Hi,

does anyone knows where to find someone who offers to act on your behalf at British Car Autions to help with car buying for a fee? The only one I know - Joe Dowd - officially retired an he's no longer offering his services. Anyone else? thx

As per previous posts ,once you pay auction fees ,plus a commission to the buyer ,it's cheaper to buy on e bay,and easier .

You might be right, but there are only few offers of the car I'm looking for on ebay , all dealers'/trade listings with fixed, regular prices, that's why I'd like to try an auction, where I've seen a good choice (Renault Grand Scenic 1.5 dci >2010 <20k mls) and hopefuly can save some money. Thx

It seems to be for those in the know now, pretty much closed off through their fees, to private buyers.
