Kids have just built a snowman on the front drive in Lutterworth, just South of Leicester. Okay, not a very big one, but they had tons of fun. 10.50am, air temp now up to 4C, snow melting in sunshine.

20:09pm Saturday 04 Jan 03:
28 deg C, blue skies, very large Gin and Tonic. (the high today was 33 deg C)
No, not homesick yet. Imagine, I live in the Andes Mountains, you can sit in my swimming pool with a Gin and Tonic looking over a cliff down onto Santiago in the distance. I own the entire valley so no one can build anywhere near me, so all I can see is trees, rocks, mountains and the river that runs through the middle of my land. Petrol is 40p per litre, Gin is $4 a bottle, a packet of marlboro is 50p and the maids do all the cooking & cleaning. I get to drive the Ram like a complete lunatic over some of the most impressive mountains in the world.
.....OK, I miss a pint of Bitter and a good hot kebab, but not *that* much.
I took Camilla high up in the mountains today for a serious run in the Dodge. Turns out she rather likes Dire Straits at full volume. (The same cannot be said for her Mother, unfortunately).

Just can't imagine why you don't want to rush back here, Mark!
