I think it'll be the insurance companies who determine the success of lack thereof of the twizy. If it's considerably cheaper to insure for a 16 year old, then youngsters might be prepared to overlook its dorky outline. If it is only slightly cheaper than a car, they'll be doing extra shifts at Asda and saving up for a proper car...
Edit: I think the Twizy 80 has a better chance of success. A 28mph top speed is just too restrictive for anyone with a car licence to bother with-unless it was dirt cheap-which it isn't.
I think the biggest customer group will be sixth form girls. Lads will want an engine and gears to play with. Could give the Jazz a run for its money with the silver pound. The 28 mph top speed is a moot point with most Jazz drivers!
