OP-The imobiliser works as it is designed to. It is a very irritating feature. If the ignition is not switched on within 30 seconds of unlocking the car remotely, then the imobiliser is re-applied. Invariably, the engine will still crank on the starter, which just adds to the confusion. The only fix is to pin the door opening sensor shut, so that the imobiliser is never applied.
I'd just learn to live with it!
