Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7 Diesal Auto 2002 - Engine Management Limp Mode - nomeandude

Intermittantly the EML comes on and the Vehicle goes into " Limp " Mode .

Diagnostics have cleared the Codes but the Fault has re- occurred .

When the EML is out the Vehicle runs perfectly and the Gearbox

performs as it should so suspect some sort of faulty sensor .

Would it be possible to disable the Sensor so as to allow the

Vehicle to by-pass and prevent the Limp Mode from operating ? .

To simply alter the electronics to ignore the EML function is quite a task to isolate the sensor or component causing the problem not so hard but having found the problem it is just as easy to repair it.

If its a genuine fault look to the EGR valve first.
