Pop-ups irritate me too, but as Jamie implies adverts are the price we have to pay for keeping the forum going. I suspect not many of us would come on here if we had to pay!

I use Google Chrome to access this forum - mainly because the Great God Microsoft won't let me post anything via Internet Explorer - but since moving to GC I haven't had any pop-ups. There are also pop-up blockers that you can download.
