Chevrolet Beat, 2008 - Chevrolet Beat low average - Ramesh

Hi, I am new here and great to be a part of this site.

I have an issue with my Chevrolet Beat car, recently it started giving me low average and consuming too much of petrol. Somebody from this site http://www.indiagarage.com/ suggested that we have to check the tank of the oil whether it is leaking, but i doubt it is.

Hi Ramesh ,your car is known as the Chevrolet spark in the uk .the new selling price is about £10'000.

I think you mean that your fuel tank may be leaking ,it's an obvious fault so it's pretty unlikely .I wonder if fuel evaporation is an issue in India with its much hotter climate ,perhaps you need a particular type of fuel filler cap to stop evaporation

Perhaps the car just needs a service ,with new spark plugs air filter etc ,also if you drive in traffic a lot ,your fuel consumption will be lower .

Just for comparison how much does the spark / beat cost in India when it's new .and what's the cost of a litre of unleaded fuel.We are currrently paying about £1.40 in the uk.
