What's going to drop? - Bobbin Threadbare

I was reading that list of all the new models of cars coming out in the next 6 months. So what's going to start dropping in price I wonder?

For example: New Civic model - will the post 2005 model drop in price in the used market if lots of owners swap in for a new one? Or is its popularity able to circumvent that?

There's lots and lots of eco measures too (I never thought I would see a BMW deliberately designed to have low emissions - they just seemed not to care because they'll sell anyway!)

Speculation please!

What are BMW going to drop to save a bit of weight? Indicators? Seems like they did this some time ago......

BMW diesles are world leaders in power saving technology...

Unfortunately the small fuel saving from that slight weight drop is offset by the power demand of running the rear fog lamps permanently.

I should think that the more extensive the revisions, the better the deals that'll be available on the run-out model. The Audi A3 and BMW 3-series spring to mind.

That's what I was thinking, but I have only been driving for 4 years this May so I don't have the long term view that some of you chaps with more driving experience have.

Bobbin - many of the motoring magazines have a page of 'what's coming soon' or words to that effect. Some makers' websites also list any special deals that they have going.

If you're looking to buy secondhand, I suppose (although I'm not any sort of an expert) that just after a new model goes on sale, used examples of the old one are plentiful and therefore make possible bargains.
