Fiat Panda 4x4 1.2 petrol (2005) - Intermittent starting on Fiat Panda 4X4 1.2 petro - Quicksilver

Hi Everybody,

Friends Fiat Panda 4x4 sometimes refuses to start. Turns over OK but does not catch. If using the spare key, (non remote type) seems to start OK.

Is fault with immobiliser? If so where is located? If fault with key is it OK to continue to use two keys. One for remote open/close and the other for ignition?

Do you think it might need a new ignition switch?

Don't know the car at all I'm afraid but if it starts OK wih one key and not the other I would suspect a faulty or mis programmed transponder in the in the other key - assuming it has one.
