A search of the internet wil produce information about them - if they'd been popular they'd have stayed in production.

Lea-Francis shot themselves in the foot with their Lynx model, that was announced in the early 1960's.

It was an attempt to build a sports car with striking up-to-the-minute styling but it was so ugly that when displayed at the Motor Show in London there were no orders. Only 3 Lynxes were built, and I believe all 3 survive.

I was once told that the styling for the Lynx was influenced by the fact that someone involved had obtained a brief glimpse of Jaguar's styling sketches for the forthcoming Mk10, which itself was no beauty!

There were two attempts to revive the name - 1980-92 with 3 litre Sports and the Ace of Spades, and 1998 with the 30/230 concept. The 30/230 was a roadster similar to the BMW Z3. Look at www.lfoc.co.uk
